This is about a little girl being inside her own mind looking out into the vast wonderment of the world and all her dreams. The forest is warm and dark, her safe spot in her own mind. The window is symbolic of her eyes, looking out from within, into her dreams and all her possibilities. There are two different scenes: the warm, cozy forest, and the serene frosty winter with delicate snowflakes falling.

There were so many people who saw this so differently, it really opened my eyes. Feelings emerged from bad childhood memories, feelings of neglect, abuse, and troubled times. I wanted to convey comfort, dreams, wishes and all that is still to come for her. However, each viewer has a different story to draw from it, and that makes this painting that much more special to me.
